FALL IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

Fall is in the air and we are working hard to put the Fall touches on the shop. There is so much coming in every week, I’ll try to let you know about some things. Many of you have been asking for outdoor luminary candles, we now have them. Also the shot gun lights on a string, 3 different color combinations, one is yellow and green for Oregon State or John Deere lovers, the others are multi colors or red white and blue. These are safe indoors or out, or in a man cave or patio. Also fall gourds that have lights inside, they are grown and carved in Pennsylvania, many signs ,some to tickle your fancy, some for your primitive decorating (we love signs). In the next few months we have some exciting events to tell you about.

SEPTEMBER 13 & 14 FALL OPEN HOUSE Great in store specials plus Joan will be baking those wonderful GINGER SNAPS,yum!

OCTOBER 18th Celebrating our 30th Anniversary, where have all those years gone. We’d love to see all of our customers that day especially the ones who have been coming here for 30 years.  Let us know..we want to take your picture. (if you allow us) Again we will probably be serving those famous FALL ginger snaps.

NOVEMBER  1 & 2 CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE The shop will be decorated for the Holiday and we guarantee that it will be snowing here all week end and until Christmas.

During each event we will have many in store specials too! It will be fun!

For the Fall Open House we will be bringing in more wonderful primitives from around the country. Most of these date to the mid 1800’s, dry sink from New England, primitive grater, primitive chopper, crockery,a dome top wood trunk..would make a great coffee table, wood bowls and so much more.

Just arrived more houses from Harold Turpin plus more sheep. Harold and his wife Pam are featured in the  September issue of COUNTRY SAMPLER. It’s a great article showing many of the houses that he has done and Pam has appointed plus a great tour of their Washington home.

Just in the latest issues of A PRIMITIVE PLACE,  MERCANTILE HAPPENINGS and EARLY AMERICAN LIFE. Come in and pick up your magazines and go home and sit down with a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy the arm chair adventure.
